Inter target Emerson Royal’s agent Frederic Pena was present at the Inter headquarters where he is thought to have been discussing the possibility of a move for the player.

On his website, Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the player’s agent was meeting to discuss the young right-back’s future.

The Brazillian right-back has impressed during his two and a half seasons on loan at Spanish club Real Betis, leading to interest in his signature from around Europe.

Emerson has been on loan at the Seville-based club from Barcelona, but the Blaugranas have recalled him this summer.

It is unknown whether the Catalan intend to make Emerson a part of their first-team picture next season, or whether they would be willing to sell him.

The 22-year-old made 79 appearances, scoring five goals and making ten assists with Betis; it is this offensive production which interests the Nerazzurri in him as a possible Hakimi replacement.

This meeting is an encouraging sign that Inter will be able to buy the player should Hakimi leave.
