Inter are accelerating their search for a shirt sponsor to replace Pirelli after the end of the partnership with the tire manufacturer this summer, with possible new partnerships coming from companies in England and the USA.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who have suggested that a cryptocurrency company could be among the possibilities to replace Pirelli going forward.
Inter will seek to step up their search to ensure a new sponsor is found for the beginning of next season, though an announcement is not necessarily expected for the end of June or beginning of July.
The ending of the 25-year-partnership with Italian company Pirelli signals a major shift for the club’s brand but also represents a major financial decision for the Nerazzurri who will look to find a lucrative partnership.
Inter’s initial intention was to secure a partnership worth €30 million per season, although it is thought that the club are now accepting the possibility of a smaller figure.
