Inter are looking at Barcelona right-back Emerson Royal as an option to replace Achraf Hakimi should the Moroccan leave in the summer, and are set to step up their interest in the Brazilian.
Italian broadcaster SportItalia reported last night that contact has been made between the Nerazzurri and the player’s entourage with his agent and intermediary making an appearance at Inter headquarters.
However, at the moment there are no concrete developments in the club’s pursuit of the 22-year-old right-back.
Barcelona have not currently showed an interest in selling the player, and his situation at the Catalan club under manager Ronald Koeman will become clear.
It is thought that Emerson would be happy to consider a future at the Giuseppe Meazza, and has informed the club that he would consider a move.
However, no negotiations between Inter and Barcelona have yet begun.
As for the situation of PSG and Chelsea target Achraf Hakimi, the broadcaster reports that the Nerazzurri are not interested in any player-plus-cash deals for the Moroccan, and are only seeking cash-only offers for the player.
