Barcelona’s Emerson Royal is a serious target for Inter while reported target Filip Kostic is not a player that the Nerazzurri currently look likely to sign.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who claim that Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri continues to be Inter’s top target for a left-sided player ahead of Kostic.
Despite reports linking the Serbian to Inter, there is little progress between the player and Inter at the moment, a fact confirmed by German broadcaster Sky Sport Germany.
Both Palmieri and Kostic have been reported Inter targets in the past, but at the moment it is the 27-year-old Brazilian who looks likelier to become an Inter player.
On the right side of the team, Emerson Royal is a player who Inter are seriously considering as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi should the Moroccan leave.
The 22-year-old Brazilian is said to be seeking a permanent situation after two and a half seasons on loan with Real Betis, and would be amenable to Inter’s approaches should the club offer him stability.
Contact was made between Royal’s agent and Inter yesterday, but a possible obstacle for a deal could come from the fact that his present club Barcelona likely will not sell him for a fee of less than €20-25 million.
This is due to the fact that they will owe Betis €9 million of any sale.
