There could be major changes made to the Inter squad during the summer transfer window, with both ingoings and outgoings expected, Italian media are reporting.

Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper has claimed that the Nerazzurri team could look quite different in wide areas next season after a summer of upheaval, with numerous player expected to depart.

The most prominent exit thought to be likely is that of Moroccan wing-back Achraf Hakimi, who is being heavily linked with PSG and Chelsea.

Inter could receive their demanded €80 million for the 22-year-old depending on how negotiations go.

Ivan Perisic is also expected to depart given that his contract expires at the end of June 2022.

Barcelona’s Emerson Royal and Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri are two players who the Nerazzurri could look to sign in order to strengthen the wide options available to coach Simone Inzaghi, with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic also an option talked about.

Federico Dimarco is a player who is expected to be at the club for next season, as the wing-back has returned from his loan with Hellas Verona.

Matteo Darmian is also expected to remain at the club, while it is unsure whether 35-year-old Englishman Ashley Young will choose to accept the extension offer from the Nerazzurri.
