Derby rivals Inter and AC Milan look set to go head to head for the signature of Sassuolo’s Giacomo Raspadori in the upcoming transfer market.

This is according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim that Milan are impressed by the 21-year-old and consider him a target.

Inter have been linked with the striker as a replacement for Lautaro Martinez in the event that the Argentine departs, but may face competition.

Raspadori scored a vital brace for Sassuolo to achieve a 2-1 victory over Milan in April, which is thought to have impressed the club greatly and heightened their interest in making him a Rossoneri player.

The summer’s European Championships could also represent an opportunity for the young Italian player to put himself in the view of European clubs with impressive performances.

There is also tentative interest in the Sassuolo player from Bundesliga clubs, claims the Gazzetta.
