Bayern Munich are unlikely to make an attempt to sign Moroccan wingback Achraf Hakimi from Inter.

This is reported by yesterday’s print edition of German newspaper Bild, where Bayern sporting director Herbert Hainer states that Bayern are not interested in making any major purchases in the summer transfer window.

With the arrivals of manager Julian Nagelsmann and defender Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig in the summer, as well as the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bavarian club will not likely be able to seriously consider making any large purchases in the summer.

The German champions will be looking to strengthen, but not by adding major high-value additions such as Hakimi.

The race for the Moroccan’s signature appears to have been clarified as being between PSG and Chelsea for the time being.

Few clubs could realistically afford to sign the Moroccan, and the exclusion of Bayern removes one of the more viable destinations for the player.
