Ex-Inter defender Cristian Chivu could be in line to lead Inter’ Primavera side next season as yet another manager at the club changes, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported in today’s print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the ex-Inter man could take over from Armando Maradonna as coach of the Primavera.
It would be Inter’s third managerial change this summer as the coaches of both the men’s and women’s senior teams have changed too.
It looks very likely that Armando Maradonna’s replacement will be an internal appointment. The Romanian currently coaches Inter’s Under-18 side, but other candidates include Under-17s coach Andrea Zanchetta and Tizano Polenghi, who runs the Under-16s.
Cristian Chivu, now 40-years-old, made 115 appearances at the back for the Nerazzurri during his career. He also played for fellow Serie A side AS Roma, where he made 85 appearances and scored six goals.
