Barcelona may end their interest in Inter’s Lautaro Martinez after seemingly agreeing to a deal to sign Memphis Depay instead, according to a report in the Spanish media today.

As has been reported by Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona seems to have finally achieved the purchase of Lyon forward Memphis Depay.

Despite the transfer not being officially announced yet, it is apparently possible to purchase a football shirt on the club’s official website with Memphis Depay’s name written on the back.

If they have indeed signed the Dutchman from Ligue 1, it is highly unlikely that they will then go after the very expensive Lautaro Martinez.

It was believed that Barcelona would be the new frontrunners to sign the Argentine forward because of their willingness to include Inter target Emerson Royal in the deal.

The young right-back has spent the last two season on loan at Real Betis where he has impressed many teams in Europe.
