Ex-Barcelona forward Javier Saviola has heaped praise upon Inter forward Lautaro Martinez ahead of the Copa America.

The Inter forward has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in the past, and the rumours are back again this summer.

Inter needs to make one big sale this summer so that they can raise the necessary €80 million from player sales to balance the books.

It looked very likely that that player would be Achraf Hakimi after talks were progressing well with Paris Saint Germain in recent weeks, but now the clubs are finding themselves around €20 million apart.

If that sale does not go through, it could be Lautaro Martinez who leaves the club in order to keep the club afloat.

Barcelona are in the driving seat because they are prepared to use Inter target Emerson Royal as part of the deal, making it easier for everyone involved.

Javier Saviola would certainly be pleased to see the Argentine forward at the club.

“I really like Lautaro. How he moves, how he attacks space. He is not just a goalscorer, he is intelligent in how he moves, he understands the game well and knows what to do with the ball at his feet. I like the striker he has. confidence with the goal, but who also knows how to be seen.”
