Ex-Inter striker Stevan Jovetic has been discussing his time with the club and suggested he would like to play in Italy again, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

During an interview with Tuttosport, the Montenegran explained how impressed he was at his old club’s recent achievement of winning the Serie A title.

“It amazed me the victory of Inter, it was deserved. After nine years of Juventus domination, we are experiencing a more complicated season but I am convinced that they will return to the top.”

The 31-year-old also showed how excited he is about the upcoming campaign, due to the number of high profile managers that have taken up new jobs in the division.

“Next year there will be a great championship thanks to the best technicians: from Allegri to Mourinho to Sarri.”

That is a feeling that is shared by fans across the world as the return of Massimiliano Allegri and the departure of Antonio Conte has blown the predictions wide open. At least five clubs can make a solid case as to why they might win the Scudetto in 2021/22.

Finally, Stevan Jovetic expressed his desire to one day return to Italy, although he does have offers from elsewhere.

“Italy, between Fiorentina and Inter has always been my second home, I would like to return but I have stimulating proposals from other parts as well. Soon I will decide.”
