Inter are convinced that they want to sign Lazio’s Stefan Radu but the player will not commit until he knows if Lazio wants to keep him or not, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by Sky Sports in Italy today, the veteran defender has too much love and respect for his current club to just go and sign a deal with Inter. He wants to know for sure that Lazio are not going to offer him a new contract.
New Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri is not convinced by the player, however, so it looks likely that he will end up as an Inter player next season.
It will take a few days before Stefan Radu will have the information he needs from Simone Inzaghi’s old team, and only then can detailed negotiations begin with the Nerazzurri.
The Romanian has been at Lazio since 2008.
