Barcelona are still considering attempting to sign Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, and may use the inclusion of Inter target Emerson Royal as part of a deal to bring the Argentine to the Camp Nou in order to persuade the Nerazzurri.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno report that the Blaugranas are weighing up the possibility of letting Emerson leave if it helps them sign Martinez.

The 22-year-old Brazilian is reportedly one of Inter’s primary targets to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right side of Simone Inzaghi’s system should the Moroccan leave in the summer.

Emerson returned to Barcelona after impressing in two and a half seasons on loan at Real Betis, and the Catalan giants are weighing whether to keep the right-back as part of their first-team setup or sell him on.

Inter have been in contact with Emerson’s agent but nothing concrete exists between the clubs and the player; however, Barcelona could be persuaded to allow the player to leave if it lets them sign Martinez over rivals for his signature Atletico Madrid.
