Inter are being kept updated about the condition of Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, but are as of yet waiting for more conclusive news about the player.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport report that Inter’s medical team, led by Dr. Piero Volpi are in communication with the Denmark medical team, led by Dr. Morten Boesen.

Further, Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is in communication with Denmark manager Peter Moller.

For the moment, it is the Danish national team who are in closest communication with the 29-year-old and the medical staff attending to him.

Inter must simply wait and hope that any news which arrives is positive.

It is also reported that the midfielder is in good spirits in his team’s group chat, and has sent jokes as well as a photograph of himself smiling from his room on the 14th floor of the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.

Eriksen is completely unsure of what led to his medical emergency on Saturday, and is eagerly awaiting the results of tests and observation to bring clarification about his condition.
