Negotiations to extend the contract of 19-year-old French midfielder Lucien Agoume at the Nerazzurri are progressing, with Inter having met with his representatives earlier today.

This is the report of Italian transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio on his website, who claims that it is the club’s intention to extend the player’s contract until 2024.

After opening talks last week, the player’s agent Djibril Niang was present at Inter headquarters along with his intermediary Oscar Damiani and right-hand man Crescenzo Cecere for a second meeting.

The parties are in no rush to work out the details of the extension, but it is thought that talks progressed the intention to renew the player on both sides.

Agoume arrived at the Giuseppe Meazza from Sochaux in the summer of 2019, though he has only made three appearance in Nerazzurri colours so far in his Inter career.

However, the 19-year-old got a greater taste for Serie A football last season on loan with Spezia, making eleven appearances in the division with the Liguria club, and Inter see him as an interesting long-term prospect.
