Inter could face significant competition in their pursuit of young Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori as Sassuolo hope to cause a bidding war for the 21-year-old striker’s signature.

This was the claim of Italian transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio on his show on Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia last night.

Milan derby rivals Inter and AC Milan could be joined by other major clubs in Italy as well as foreign club in vying for the Italian’s signature.

Inter are thought to be seriously considering a move for Raspadori to replace Lautaro Martinez should the Argentine leave in the summer.

However, the player’s exciting form last season for Sassuolo has seen his stock rise significantly and earned him a call-up to Roberto Mancini’s Italy squad at the Euros.

Should the Sassuolo man further impress at the summer tournament, his value could rise even more and he could attract the serious attention of more suitors.
