Getafe’s Uruguayan Mathias Oliveira has emerged as a target for Inter to strengthen the left-sided options for incoming head coach Simone Inzaghi, according to reports.

Italian broadcaster SportItalia reported today that the 23-year-old is a player who Inter are considering, and that the Nerazzurri have already entered into negotiations with current club Getafe over a potential deal for the player.

Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri, and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic are thought to have been among the club’s primary targets for the left-sided role, but Oliveira’s name has been added to the list.

The Uruguayan has earned a regular spot in Getafe’s starting eleven, making 31 appearances in all competitions last season.

Oliveira was a regular for Jose Bordalas’s side as they earned an impressive fifth-place finish and entry into the Europa League where they elminated Dutch giants Ajax before going out to Inter in the round of sixteen last season.
