Cagliari look set to sell Inter target Nahitan Nandez in the summer as they look to raise funds to undertake a midfield rebuild for coach Leonardo Semplici.

This according to reports from Italian media service ANSA via FCInterNews, which state that the Rossoblu are looking to improve the financial situation at the club through departures, and then improve the squad for next season.

The Uruguayan is one of the most highly-valued player currently in the Rossoblu’s squad, and like Inter, Cagliari are thought to need to make capital gains this summer in order to meet financial targets.

Nandez has attracted much interest from other Serie A clubs, with Inter and Roma considered to be the clubs with the most concrete intentions to sign him.

Cagliari’s sporting director Stefano Capozucca has also announced that the club cannot afford to keep former Inter and Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin at the club, though what happens with the Uruguayan’s situation remains to be seen.
