Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and team doctor Piero Volpi are contemplating when a visit to Christian Eriksen in Copenhagen would be possible, hoping to meet the player soon.

This according to Italian media outlet FCInterNews, who report that the pair are waiting on a clearer timeline for Eriksen’s discharge from hospital to formulate plans to visit the midfielder.

As long as the 29-year-old remains at the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, it is unlikely that a visit from Marotta and Volpi would be feasible, especially as COVID-19 protocols at the hospital remain strict on the matter of visitors.

However, once the player has freedom of movement and can meet the Inter staff elsewhere, a meeting is hoped to be conducted.

A meeting in this case would only be preliminary, but would also start the crucial process of evaluating the player’s Inter situation, involving the Nerazzurri in the process in determining whether and when the Dane can return to a football pitch, and under what circumstances.
