Milan Skriniar scored the winning goal and put in a strong defensive shift to keep Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski from scoring during Slovakia’s group opener against Poland, earning him UEFA’s Man of the Match award.
The Inter defender showed his quality in a performance that will be familiar to Inter supporters who have enjoyed watching him in the four years since he joined the Nerazzurri from Sampdoria in 2017.
UEFA’s official Twitter account congratulated the Slovak with a tweet that reads: “Match-winner & warrior Milan Skriniar takes the plaudits.”
