Former Crotone goalkeeper Alex Cordaz should be an Inter player by the end of the day.

This is according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.com, who report that the 38-year-old has completed his medical, and is at Inter headquarters ready to sign a deal with the Nerazzurri.

The goalkeeper is set to earn a net total of €200,000 including bonuses for the 2020-21 season per the terms of the contract which he is signing today.

The veteran shot-stopper is thought to be intended as a third-choice goalkeeper behind Inter Number One Samir Handanovic, with the club still considering their options for who the Slovenian’s deputy will be.

Cordaz came through Inter’s youth ranks before leaving the club permanently in 2006 in search of regular football, joining numerous teams before settling in at Crotone where he eventually became club captain.

Cordaz’s return is welcomed because of his strong personality and influence in the dressing room.
