Adam Marusic could leave Lazio this summer, and should he do so Inter are reported to be among the clubs interested in his signature.

With one year left on his current contract, the player is likely to either negotiate a new deal with the Biancocelesti or departh, reports Italian news outlet FCInterNews.

The Montenegrin international’s current contract is worth a net of €900,000 annually including bonuses, which is considerably lower than most players of his quality, and he will expect a higher salary wherever he ends up.

The player’s entourage are planning to meet with Lazio president Claudio Lotito next week with the aim of negotiating a contract extension on better economic terms for the Montenegrin.

However, should an offer not be presented which is satisfactory for the player he could look to go elsewhere, and the capital club would face the choice of selling him this summer for a fee or losing him for nothing when his contract expires next month.

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi could look to reunite with Marusic, although they would join several other clubs tracking him – city rivals AC Milan, English clubs Leicester City and Everton, and Moscow-based clubs Dynamo and Spartak are all thought to be interested in the player.
