18-year-old Livorno midfielder Francesco Nunziatini is set to become an Inter player, with the young Italian signing for the Primavera side on a free transfer today.

Italian news outlet FCInterNews report that the player and his agents arrived at Inter headquarters today with the intention of signing a contract with the Nerazzurri,

The teenager is a product of Livorno’s academy, but leaves the club on a free transfer due to a clause in his contract which only gives him professional status upon fifteen senior appearances with the club.

The Italian made only fourteen appearances with the Tuscan club who were relegated to Serie D last season, and so the clause can no longer be triggered, meaning he is not considered a professional player and can be transferred for free.

It is not known what Inter’s plans for the 18-year-old are, but he is considered an exciting prospect and impressed with his performances for the Tuscans in Serie C last season.
