Ashley Young has left Inter to join Premier League side Aston Villa, the English club have confirmed.

The Birmingham-based club have welcomed the 35-year-old Englishman to the club on their official website today, having signed him on a free transfer from the Nerazzurri.

The 35-year-old’s contract with the Nerazzurri was set to expire on June 30, and the player decided to reject an offer for a one-year extension to his deal.

Young signs a one-year deal with Villa, a club who he previously played for between 2007 and 2011, making 190 goals and scoring 38 appearances.

The Englishman joined Manchester United from Villa, and then in January of 2020 left the Red Devils to join Inter, where he became an important player under former manager Antonio Conte.

Young leaves the club having won the scudetto in Milan, helping the Nerazzurri to their first title in eleven years.
