Inter are prioritizing PSV right-back Denzel Dumfries as a transfer target to replace Achraf Hakimi should the Moroccan depart in the summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 25-year-old Dutchman has emerged as the favourite to replace Hakimi.

The Nerazzurri are stepping up negotiations for the sale of the 22-year-old Moroccan with Chelsea and PSG, and should he be sold they will bring in a player with a similar profile to replace his contributions.

Barcelona’s Emerson Royal and Lazio’s Manuel Lazzari have been mentioned as potential targets, but Dumfries has emerged as the player who Inter would most likely pursue to replace Hakimi.

It is thought that there would be no major obstacles towards the Nerazzurri’s approach for the 25-year-old, currently with the Dutch national team at EURO 2020, whereas the club could face problems moving for other targets.

Any move for the player would only come after the sale of Hakimi is finalized, however.
