Inter have not made any concrete offers for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, but negotiations would be possible should they choose to do so.

This according to Cagliari sporting director Stefano Capozucca, who spoke to Italian news site L’Interista, claiming that communication is good between the Rossoblu and the Nerazzurri.

Nandez is thought to be a target of the Nerazzurri, with the versatile Uruguayan an option for both the right side and central midfield positions.

However, it is not yet known whether Inter are ready to seriously step up their pursuit of the player, with other targets for the window also known the be prioritized and financial targets requiring that the club restrict themselves in the transfer market prior to making big sales this summer.

Should Inter choose to move for Nandez there is some optimism that they could persuade Cagliari to accept an offer, but this is still far away.

Capozucca stated:

“The truth is that at the moment there are no concrete offers, but relations between us and Inter are good. There are constant contacts between us. Can other player enter into possible negotiations? I can say that any kind of conversation can be held with the Nerazzurri.”
