Netherlands manager Frank de Boer has extended his best wishes to Denmark and Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen after the 29-year-old’s health scare during Denmark’s EURO 2020 opener against Finland on Saturday.
Speaking in an official video greeting to the Dane made by UEFA, reported by L’Interista, de Boer send his warm regards to the Nerazzurri man.
The former Inter coach emphasized that the most significant feeling among the football community is one of hope that the Dane concentrate on his recovery.
De Boer’s sentiments echo the feelings of many in the footballing world, namely that there is a hope that Eriksen might eventually return to the pitch, but that his recovery is the most important aspect.
The Dane is in stable condition, and it is hoped that he will be discharged from the Rishospitalet in Copenhagen tomorrow, where he can be with his family and reconnect with teammates and friends on a personal level.
