With Achraf Hakimi looking likely to leave the Giuseppe Meazza in the summer, Inter are looking at PSV rightbak Denzel Dumfries as a possible replacement.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset today, who report that the Dutchman could come for a fee of around €20 million.

The 25-year-old has starred for the Dutch national team so far at the Euros, scoring in both of the Oranje’s games against Ukraine and Austria.

It is thought that Dumfries’s qualities are similar to those of the 22-year-old Hakimi, and that Inter are considering him as a player who could directly replace the profile of the Moroccan in Simone Inzaghi’s system.

The fee for the Dutchman would currently be beyond the Nerazzurri, but should Hakimi be sold they will likely step up their pursuit.

With Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea set to increase their offers for Hakimi in the hopes of signing the Moroccan soon, Inter could also begin talks to sign Dumfries.
