Inter are prepared to accept a deal from Chelsea for Achraf Hakimi should the Blues send wing-back Marcos Alonso the other way.

This is according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who claim that new Inter coach Simone Inzaghi considers Alonso an ideal target for the left side of his tactical system.

Chelsea have been vying for Hakimi along with Paris Saint-Germain in recent days, and are thought to have taken the lead over their French rivals recently as they negotiate with the Moroccan and with Inter.

Both Chelsea and PSG are reported to have made €60 million offers for the 22-year-old which the Nerazzurri rejected as being too low.

Chelsea have been discussing a potential contract with Hakimi and his entourage, while at the same time trying to entice Inter by offering multiple different players as part of a deal, including Emerson Palmieri and Andreas Christensen.

It is believed that the offer of Alonso has moved Inzaghi to urge the Nerazzurri to accept the deal, as he is an admirer of the Spaniard.

Chelsea will still need to increase the fee involved in their offer, with the Nerazzurri reportedly still wanting €65 million rather than €60 million in addition to Alonso.

Should Chelsea do so in the next few hours, they could gain the decisive advantage over PSG in the chase for Hakimi unless the Parisians respond.
