Midfielder Joao Mario wants to be certain of his future for next season, with Inter and Sporting yet to reach an agreement for the transfer of the player.

This according to Today’s print edition of Lisbon-based newspaper A Bola, who claim that the 28-year-old wants to know where he will be playing next season so that he can begin to prepare with his new club, and has asked for a prompt move away.

This could put the midfielder’s move to the Portuguese capital in jeapodary, despite the transfer having appeared to be a near-certainty not long ago.

Sporting are thought to still be refusing to meet the Nerazzurri’s €7.5 million valuation with an offer, and should they not do so it is thought that Inter will not sell the player to them.

Villarreal and Nice are both thought to be interested in the player, and the Portuguese midfielder would be open to a move to either should there not be any progress on his permanent transfer to Sporting despite a stay in the Portuguese capital being his first choice.
