Paris Saint-Germain are set to increase their offer for Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi in response to Chelsea’s advances for the Moroccan earlier today, according to reports.

French news outltet Le10Sport.com report that the Parisian club are preparing to offer the Nerazzurri €70 million to sign the player, with sporting director Leonardo making contact with Inter today.

The Parisians are reported to have previously made an offer worth €60 million for the player, but Inter turned it down as it was not close enough to their valuation of the player.

However, with rivals Chelsea also set to increase their offer from the initial €60 million to meet Inter’s demands, PSG are prepared to make sure the London club do not overtake them.

French broadcaster RMC Sport further report that PSG is the preferred destination of the player, despite the strongest interest for the moment coming from Chelsea.

They report that Chelsea could raise their offer to €80 million in order to beat the Parisians to his signature, with that amount being close to the Nerazzurri’s original valuation.

The player’s preference could play a role in determining where he goes, though it remains to be seen which of the two clubs makes an offer that Inter are most willing to accept.
