Despite rumours suggesting he could be leaving the club, it is now believed that he will be extending his contract in the very near future, according to the Twitter account of an Italian journalist.

As has been tweeted by Libero journalist Fabrizio Biasin, Beppe Marotta is intending to extend his time as CEO of Inter, as are most of the current directors at the club.

It is another sign that despite the difficult financial situation the club has found itself in this summer, there is clearly understanding and calm among the owners and directors.

The tweets claim that Steven Zhang and Beppe Marotta met today to finalise the discussion and agreement, and everyone is fully committed to the project at Inter.

The directors and owners at Inter came under fire when Antonio Conte left the club abruptly after winning the Scudetto, but providing the sale of Achraf Hakimi and others go through, the situation should remain calm.
