Leeds United could give Inter a transfer headache by swooping in for Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by La Nuova Sardegna, Leeds United coach Marcelo Bielsa is incredibly impressed with Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez and has told the club he wants to see the 25-year-old playing at Elland Road next season.
Marcelo Bielsa is such a fan of Nahitan Nandez that he feels willing to pay the €36 million release clause that Cagliari have inserted into the Uruguayan’s contract.
Nahitan Nandez has been linked heavily with Inter as a potential Achraf Hakimi replacement when he eventually moves to either Paris Saint Germain or Chelsea this summer. He is primarily a central midfielder but he has put in some very good performances at right-back for the Rossblu during the 2020/21 Serie A season.
It seems very unlikely that Inter would be willing to pay the €36 million release clause.
