Paris Saint Germain have moved a step closer to signing Inter’s Achraf Hakimi this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by Sport Mediaset, Paris Saint Germain have agreed on personal terms with Achraf Hakimi, paving the way for his potential move to the Ligue 1 side.

It will now be interesting to see if Champions League winners Chelsea respond to these developments by opening talks with the player or sending a higher bid to Inter.

Neither team has yet reached the magic €80 million price that the Nerazzurri have set for the Moroccan wing-back. It is believed he will be the first big departure from Inter as they look to raise around €80 million from player sales this summer.

As far as a replacement is concerned, Dutch full-back Denzel Dumfries is an attractive option but Inter cannot currently afford his €20 million fee that PSV Eindhoven would demand.
