Stefan Radu has decided to stay at Lazio rather than join Inter this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the veteran defender has decided not to join up with his old coach Simone Inzaghi at Inter. He would rather sign a new two year deal with the Biancocelesti.
At one point it looked very likely that the Romanian defender would be joining Inter on a free transfer because Maurizio Sarri wanted to make his squad younger and fresher. The situation has now changed and Lazio are offering Stefan Radu a two-year contract.
The 34-year-old made it clear to Simone Inzaghi that whilst he is willing to join Inter, if Lazio make him an offer he will definitely accept it because he loves the club so much. He has been playing for Lazio since 2008, meaning he has made 327 appearances for them.
