Inter have made contact with the agents of AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu as the search for a potential Christian Eriksen replacement goes on, according to a report in the Italian media today.
It has been reported by Calciomercato.com that despite the obvious rivalry between the two clubs, Inter are attempting to do business with the Rossoneri.
It is now widely believed that Christian Eriksen will not play for Inter again following his cardiac arrest last week.
Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch during his countries opening Euro 2020 game against Finland in Copenhagen. He was given immediate medical attention on the pitch, including CPR.
He was then taken to the hospital for further examinations where UEFA and the Danish Football Association confirmed that was stable and talking. The game was resumed and Finland went on to win the match 1-0 thanks to a second-half goal.
The Turkish midfielder has been linked with a move away from AC Milan but it’s not clear if he would be interested in moving across the city.
