Hakan Calhanoglu will sign a contract with Inter for three years, with an option for a fourth, with the player set to complete his move from city rivals AC Milan.

This according to Turkish news outlet trtspor.com.tr, who report that the player is set to sign for the Nerazzurri once his medical with the club is complete.

The Turkish midfielder is currently 27, with the contract taking him to at least the age of thirty.

Calhanoglu joined Milan from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2017, spending four seasons with the Rossoneri.

However, he is out of contract with the club at the end of the month and they were unable to agree an extension with the player due to not being willing to accept his wage demands.

The Nerazzurri moved quickly to sign the Turk after identifying him as an ideal replacement for the stricken Christian Eriksen, and will hope he can replicate his form from the previous seasons in midfield for several years.
