The brother of new Inter boss Simone Inzaghi believes that he made the right decision to leave Lazio and take the job with the Nerazzurri, according to a report in the Italian print media.

Speaking during an interview with Il Messaggero, the new Brescia boss spoke with pride about the opportunity that his brother now has now found himself with to win a Scudetto and compete again in the Champions League.

Simone Inzaghi had been in charge of Lazio since 2016 and turned the team into title contenders at one stage and led them to a return to the Champions League. When Antonio Conte decided to leave the Nerazzurri, Simone Inzaghi was just about to sign an extension with the Biancocelesti but he changed his mind when Inter came calling.

“After five years there comes a time when either ten players need to be changed or the technical guide changed. I think Simone made the right choice, he did something incredible in Rome.”

Filippo Inzaghi also talked about how the two will do battle if Inter face Brescia in the coming season in a cup competition, but the atmosphere around the Inzaghi family is great.

“He’s happy for me too. , we’ll go back to the North to do battle. Papa Giancarlo? Yes, he’s really happy. The whole family is getting closer.”
