Ex-AC Milan defender Gianluca Zambrotta has praised Inter’s Romelu Lukaku after his impressive displays for Belgium during Euro 2020.

Gianluca Zambrotta is currently working as a pundit for UEFA on television, and that is where he discussed which teams and individuals have impressed him most during the opening two weeks of the European Championships.

Clearly, the team that has impressed the ex-Italy international is Belgium, who have so far beaten Russia 3-0 in St Petersburg and then come from behind in Copenhagen to beat Denmark 2-1.

Gianluca Zambrotta named four Belgium players who have been key, of which Inter’s Romelu Lukaku was one.

“I see that Belgium is doing well with Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard, Axel Witsel and Kevin De Bruyne. They play well, run a lot and have a lot of quality in attack.”

The other two countries that Gianluca Zambrotta mentioned was the Netherlands and France. Despite being the World Champions, France fell to a disappointing 1-1- draw with Hungary in Budapest on matchday two, which leaves the door open for Germany to win Group F despite many believing they would finish behind both France and Portugal.
