Inter have all but wrapped up the signing of Turkish international midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu from AC Milan on a free transfer.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio who moments ago on air reported that an agreement between the Nerazzurri and the Turkish player’s representatives has been found.

Calhanoglu is set to sign a three year deal with Inter which will see the 27-year old earn €5 million net per season with an additional €1 million in add-ons, Di Marzio reports.

Furthermore, Di Marzio reports on his homepage that, incoming Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is a big fan of the player and that the Nerazzurri decided to move swiftly after Christian Eriksen’s cardiac arrest.

The insecurity surrounding Christian Eriksen’s future is the main reason as to why Inter have decided to move swiftly for Calhanoglu, the report continues.

The former Bayer Leverkusen player will undergo his medical examinations tomorrow before putting pen to paper and completing the transfer from AC Milan to Inter.
