The economic terms of the contract that soon-to-be former AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is set to sign with Inter have been revealed, with his salary lower than initially reported.

The 27-year-old Turk will receive a net of €4.5 million without add-ons in his first year with the Nerazzurri, and net €5 million during each of the two subsequent years of his deal.

Calhanoglu’s deal is reported to contain add-ons for team accomplishments, but no personal add-ons.

It is thought that one of the main reasons why the player left Inter’s city rivals AC Milan in this window rather than coming to an agreement to renew his contract with the club is that he was unable to come to an agreement on salary terms.

The Rossoneri are thought to have been unwilling to meet the player’s expectations for annual wages, whereas the figures in his contract with Inter are close to what his original demands are reported to have been.
