Inter and AC Milan have delivered updated documents concerning the proposal for a new stadium to the Milan City Council containing requested information.

Today’s edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera report that the Milan clubs have left the administrative body with the necessary and requested information to decide on whether to grant a Declaration of Public Interest for the construction of a new stadium.

Such a declaration is necessary to begin the building process, and it is expected to take several months before the Council would at a definitive green light for the project.

The center-left majority of the current City Council is divided internally on the urban planning merits of the proposed new stadium and the neighbourhood around it, and could take time to arrive at a decision.

Apart from containing information related to the proposed development of the properties, the updated documents include information on the shareholding structure at the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri which the Council requested months ago, and will also be taken into account in determining the viability of the proposal.
