Striker Sebastiano Esposito could leave Inter on a permanent basis this summer, with Sassuolo the likely destination.
This is according to a tweet made by Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, who reports that the Neroverdi are in talks to sign the 18-year-old for €10 million.
The sale of the young attacker, who spent last season on loan with Venezia, could represent a significant capital gain for the Nerazzurri, with the player having come through the club’s academy.
The player has made a total of fifteen appearances for the Nerazzurri’s first-team squad in all competitions, with fourteen having come under Antonio Conte during the 2019-20 season.
Esposito is not thought to be a player who is in the first-team plans of new Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, however, and should the club be able to sell him on for capital gains as an academy product it would be a deal which would help towards the summer’s agenda of meeting financial targets.
Schira’s tweet reads as follows: “Inter is thinking about selling #Esposito to realize an important capital gain of around €10M: contacts in progress with #Sassuolo. #calciomercato”
