Lazio wing-back Manuel Lazzari could join Inter as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi with the Moroccan set to depart, with the 27-year-old reported to be manager Simone Inzaghi’s first choice.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla on his website, who reports that the former Biancocelesti manager would like a reunion with Lazzari with Hakimi with the latter’s exit expected to be confirmed in the coming days.

Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have both stepped up negotiations to close a deal for Hakimi soon and are hoping that Inter will accept an offer in the coming days.

Multiple players have been linked to the Nerazzurri as possible replacements for the Moroccan’s contributions, with Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta and PSV’s Denzel Dumfries among the right-sided players linked.

However, Lazzari could arrive in the summer for an immediate reunion with Inzaghi, and would be expected to take very little time to adjust having spent the past two years learning the now-Inter coach’s system and methods.
