Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal has paid tribute to his friend and former teammate Luis Suarez by posting a video on Twitter of the pair embracing after the Copa America match between their respective countries Chile and Uruguay.
The 34-year-old also included a heartfelt message to his friend as part of the tweet.
Vidal is currently an Inter player, while Suarez is currently at Atletico Madrid, with both players having won their respective league titles last season.
Both have played among European’s elite clubs where they have played against one another on numerous occasions, though their paths also crossed as teammates for two seasons at Barcelona recently.
Vidals’ tweet reads: “The most beautiful memories I have of my childhood are of when I played with my brothers. Thank God, some days football gives me that opportunity to share with the brothers that life gave me again. Great Gunman! Yes, it was still a foul.”
Los recuerdos más lindos que tengo de mi infancia son cuando jugaba con mis hermanos. Gracias a Dios, algunos días el fútbol me vuelve a dar esa oportunidad de compartir con los hermanos que me dio la vida. Grande Pistolero! 🔫 Eso si, igual fue foul 😡😂❤️ 🇨🇱❤️🇺🇾 @LuisSuarez9 pic.twitter.com/MZuS6EBgMy
