Inter no longer view Giacomo Raspadori as a replacement for Lautaro Martinez but as a transfer target in his own right, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, the young Sassuolo forward was previously viewed as a replacement for Lautaro Martinez should the Argentine move to Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid this summer.

The departure of Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint Germain now means that that departure is a lot less likely to happen, although not impossible. The Nerazzurri now view the 21-year-old Neroverdi man as a quality backup striker option to Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

Sassuolo are currently asking for €20 million for their striker who was called up to Italy’s EURO 2020 squad by Roberto Mancini recently, but the fee could rise as the summer progresses.

Inter may wait until the end of the window to evaluate their finances and then put together a bod for the player.
