The new InterSpac project that was recently launched is not going to give Inter an ownership model just like Bayern Munich’s, but it is a step in the right direction, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the project launched by economist and Inter fan Carlo Cottarelli is not going to automatically make Inter into a club just like Bayern Munich and other Bundesliga sides, but it will certainly make them more similar.

The InterSpac project is an initiative to being Inter fans into the club’s ownership model by allowing them to buy shares and subsequently have much more of a say in how the club is run going forward. Parallels have been made with German football’s 50+1 model, where one owner cannot own more than 49% of the football club’s shares.

A questionnaire was launched on Friday to gauge interest from Inter fans about the project, and it reportedly had a good response.
