Ligue 1 side OGC Nice are preparing to make an official bid for wantaway Inter player Joao Mario, according to a report in the French media today.

As has been reported today by French media outlet Le10Sportthe long-running saga of Joao Mario’s future could finally be coming to an end in the next couple of weeks.

The Inter midfielder looked all set to be making a permanent move to Sporting Lisbon, the team he spent the previous season on loan at and helped to win Liga NOS for the first time in 19 years.

Unfortunately for the player, Sporting Lisbon were not prepared to pay the €8 million sum that Inter wanted for his services, so they cooled their interest.

Now it looks likely that OGC Nice will pick up the baton and make a bid for Joao Mario to bring him to the south of France. Villareal in Spain are another club linked with him.
