Simone Inzaghi appears to be favouring homegrown talent over foreign imports for his new Inter team, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been written in Tuttosport, many of the players that Simone Inzaghi has decided to buy for Inter or is looking to pursue, are Italian. Added to that, much of the existing squad at Inter are Italian nationals.

The potential arrival of Sassuolo youngster Giacomo Raspadori would add yet another native to the Nerazzurri. His arrival would depend on the departure of Lautaro Martinez to either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid. His departure looks less likely now though after Achraf Hakimi’s move to Paris Saint Germain edges closer.

The arrival of Alex Cordaz from Crotone adds another Italian to the squad, and then there is already Danilo D’Ambrosio, Andrea Ranocchia, Alessandro Bastoni, Matteo Darmian, Nicolo Barella, Stefano Sensi, Roberto Gagliardini, Federico Dimarco, Andrea Pinamonti, and Eddie Salcedo.
