Bologna are exploring the possibility of bringing Inter left-back Aleksandar Kolarov to the club when his contract expires at the end of this month, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Bologna-based newspaper Il Resto del Carlino, Sinisa Mihajlovic is very keen on bringing the Serbian veteran to the club this summer to add some experience and set-piece quality to his defence.

The ex-Manchester City man is known for his quality free-kick delivery and shooting abilities, which have not gone away despite now being 35-year-old.

The wage demands of the ex-AS Roma player could be a problem for the Rossoblu though. Aleksandar Kolarov would demand a salary of €2 million a year whereas Bologna are only able to offer him €1.5 million.

The Serbian player’s time at Inter did not go to plan as he made just seven appearances since he joined in September 2020. Before that he had been a key player at AS Roma.
